Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has said that there is a possibility that peace talks between the United States and Iran will be held in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, within the next two days.
The New York Post reported on Tuesday, April 14, that Trump said the United States is more inclined to hold the talks in Islamabad.
According to the report, Trump had previously said that negotiations were “ongoing but moving at a slow pace.”
He had also stated in an initial interview that the next round of direct talks aimed at ending the US-Iran war might be held in Europe.
Following these remarks, the US president said that the talks could be moved to Islamabad.
Trump praised the role of Pakistani officials in this process and said that their cooperation could be effective in advancing the negotiations.
