Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said that he had a phone call with Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, and discussed the crisis in Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East.

On Monday, March 9, Trump told reporters that there is “tremendous hatred” between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, and that they have not yet been able to reach an agreement. However, he described his conversation with Putin as a“positive call.”

The US president added that Putin wants to be helpful regarding the Iran conflict.

The Kremlin had earlier announced that Vladimir Putin, in a phone call with Donald Trump, had presented proposals for a quick end to the conflict surrounding Iran.
