President Donald Trump said the United States does not need Britain’s help to win the war with Iran.
On Saturday, March 7, Trump wrote on Truth Social that the UK is finally giving serious thought to sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East, but he emphasized, “That’s OK, Prime Minister Starmer, we don’t need them any longer — but we will remember. We don’t need people who join wars after we’ve already won!”
These remarks came after the UK Ministry of Defence prepared the aircraft carrier Prince of Wales for a possible deployment, but no final decision has yet been made regarding its deployment.
Earlier, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer had limited the US’s use of British bases for initial attacks on Iran and emphasized that any military action must be “legal and well-planned.”
