In two consecutive explosions in the “Bannu” area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, seven people have been killed and three others injured.
The Dawn newspaper reported on Saturday, June 20, that five people were killed in the first explosion and two more in the second.
The report says that Pakistani police stated that two vehicles in the Phang Musakhel area were targeted by “remote-controlled blasts.”
Police added that the area has been cordoned off and a search operation has been launched due to the possibility of the presence of additional explosives.
However, it has not been clarified whether the victims were civilians or security personnel.
No group has claimed responsibility for the blasts so far, but the Pakistani government often blames the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan for such incidents.
