Two Girls in Samangan Raped, Beheaded by Taliban Fighters, Reports

Hasht-E Subh Hasht-E Subh
24 December 2022 - Solar Hijri Date: 1401/10/03 [t_time:1671883943]

Taliban members raped and killed two young girls in Roy Doab district, Samangan province.

Sources confirmed to Hasht-e Subh on Saturday that two bodyguards of the Taliban governor for Roy Doab district, Mullah Shamshad, raped these two girls a week ago in Surkh Qala village of the same vicinity and then beheaded them in front of their families.

According to locals, after his bodyguards raped these girls, Mullah Shamshad showed up on the scene and ordered his men to execute the victims immediately on charges of adultery.

Photos of the victim were found in the mobile phone of Qari Anas, a member of the Taliban, who is accused of being involved in raping and blackmailing the two young ladies. He and another bodyguard of the Taliban’s district governor have been released from custody after spending a short time in prison.

One of the girls has been identified as Amina, a midwife in a local clinic. The other victim’s identity has not been revealed.

Sources detailed that two months ago Mullah Shamshad’s bodyguards filmed the rape scenes in order to sexually exploit and blackmail Amina and the other victim.

Previously, one of the Taliban’s military officials in Samangan province was also accused of committing dishonesty and moral crimes.

Meanwhile, according to reports, the Taliban are harassing families in the northern parts of Afghanistan to have their daughters persuaded to marry Taliban members.
