The United Nations in Geneva has announced that 258 million children and adolescents worldwide are facing educational disruptions due to crises.

The United Nations wrote on its X page on Friday, September 4, that Education Cannot Wait (ECW) is seeking $600 million to help 10 million children affected by crises continue learning.

The campaign, under the slogan “Hope Starts Here,” has been launched to rally support for the education of children and adolescents affected by crises.

The organization said the funding is needed to support 10 million children affected by crises between 2027 and 2030.

Meanwhile, following the Taliban’s return to power over the past five years, Afghanistan’s education system has also faced numerous challenges, with girls barred from attending schools and universities.
