The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that an awareness campaign on health risks in Badakhshan has reached more than 37,000 people.
The organization said on Sunday, August 9, 2026, on its X page that the campaign was implemented with financial support from the European Union in Afghanistan and aimed to raise public awareness about health risks and how to address them.
According to the World Health Organization, women accounted for 60 percent of those who benefited from the campaign.
The organization added that access to accurate health information enables people to make more informed decisions and better protect individuals, families and communities.
The World Health Organization stressed that efforts to deliver health information to communities with the greatest needs will continue.
