
World Malaria Day: Over 125,000 Cases of Malaria Recorded in Afghanistan in 2022
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), at least 125,788 cases of malaria have been recorded in Afghanistan in 2022 in honor of World Malaria Day.
On Tuesday, April 25, the WHO tweeted that positive cases of malaria have increased by 45% compared to 2021.
The organization stated that approximately 90% of the cases were reported in the eastern provinces of Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, and Nuristan.
It should be noted that April 25 was declared World Malaria Day in May 2007 by the 60th World Health Assembly.
