The annual Nowruz gathering has been held in the city of Dushanbe with the participation of a number of poets and cultural figures from Afghanistan, Iran, and Tajikistan.
At the gathering, held on Thursday, March 19, several Afghan poets, including Latif Nazemi, Tania Aakafi, and Mozhgan Saghar, along with other cultural figures, participated.
Several poets and cultural figures from Iran also participated in the program.
In addition, Dr. Najibullah Musir, former deputy prime minister of Afghanistan, and Fayazuddin Ghiasi, a former diplomat of the country, were also present at the gathering.
The gathering began with an opening speech by Qabil jan Khoshwaqtzada, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
Additionally, Professor Masrur Abdullah, Senior Advisor to the Assistant to the President of Tajikistan, and Abdullazoda Ibrahim, Deputy Head of the Society of Friendship and Cultural Relations of Tajikistan with Foreign Countries, delivered congratulatory speeches.
It is worth noting that this gathering is held annually and has been organized since 2015, following the directive of Emomali Rahmon, the President of Tajikistan, in the field of researching Aryan history and civilization and establishing the International Nowruz Center.
