The European Union approved a €90 billion loan for Ukraine, overcoming Hungary’s veto.
Bulgarian National Radio reported on Tuesday, March 17, citing a diplomatic source in Brussels, that the agreement has been finalized and there are no plans to revisit it.
According to the report, European Council President Antonio Costa called on Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to adhere to the decision of European leaders adopted in December.
Earlier, Orban had warned that Ukraine could not count on Hungary’s support for European Union decisions unless the transit of Russian oil via the “Druzhba” pipeline is resumed.
The loan comes as Ukraine faces severe financial pressures due to the ongoing war with Russia.
