Naseer Ahmad Faiq, the acting Permanent Representative of Afghanistan to the United Nations, in response to reports of Pakistan seizing parts of the territories of Afghanistan, stated that if these reports are accurate, this action constitutes a blatant act of naked aggression and condemned it in the strongest terms.
Faiq wrote on X on Saturday, March 28, that Pakistan’s occupation of territories of Afghanistan is illegal under international law and represents a direct violation of the United Nations Charter and Afghanistan’s territorial integrity.
He added that Afghanistan’s national sovereignty is non-negotiable and that no pretext justifies occupying sovereign land using the absence of a legitimate government as cover.
Faiq emphasized: “Pakistan, which backed, armed, and sheltered the Taliban for decades, cannot now bomb civilians in Afghanistan and grab their land under the guise of counterterrorism.”
This comes as satellite images of the Afghanistan-Pakistan border were recently released, indicating Pakistan’s seizure of Afghan territory.
According to these images, Pakistan has advanced several kilometers into the soil of Afghanistan and constructed fences inside Afghanistan.
