The Gaza Health Ministry has reported that five people were killed and 49 others injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza over the past 48 hours.

Al Jazeera reported on Saturday, June 6, that the body of one of the victims was recovered from under the rubble.

According to the report, Gaza’s Health Ministry said that two people were recently killed and another died from earlier injuries.

The ministry added that many victims are still trapped under rubble or on the roads, and rescue teams are unable to reach them.

The number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has risen to more than 72,000 since the start of the Hamas-Israel war in October 2023.

Following the announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, the Gaza Health Ministry said that 951 people were killed and 2,984 others were injured as a result of Israeli attacks.
