Global oil prices have edged lower in international markets amid diplomatic efforts in the Middle East to ease tensions.
Al Jazeera reported early Tuesday, October 27, that prices fell following a diplomatic meeting held in Tehran on Monday, attended by Iranian officials and representatives from Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan to reduce regional tensions.
According to the report, Brent crude futures fell by 66 cents, or 0.57 percent, to $115.15 per barrel.
Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell by 44 cents, or 0.43 percent, to $101.32 per barrel.
The price declines come as prospects for resolving regional tensions have eased market concerns about potential disruptions to oil supplies.
