Sources in Herat say a man was killed in the province and his body was subsequently set on fire.
The sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Sunday, September 20, that the man was shot and killed.
According to the information, the man was killed in Shadi Jan village in Injil district of Herat province.
Sources said he had come to the village for recreation and, after being killed, his body was set on fire in an orchard.
They added that the perpetrators fled the area.
Sources also said that the Taliban found the burned body and transferred it to Herat Regional Hospital.
The increase in such incidents has raised questions about the Taliban’s claim of ensuring security across the country.
