The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has said that communities affected by the devastating earthquake in Kunar continue to need support one year after the disaster.
In a post on X late Friday, October 9, the council said that families still require sustained assistance one year after the devastating earthquake.
The international organization said affected families need assistance to rebuild their homes, access clean water and restore their livelihoods.
Meanwhile, United Nations agencies have said they lack sufficient funding to assist people affected by natural disasters, returning refugees and internally displaced communities.
At the same time, the forced return of migrants from neighboring countries, natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes, and a lack of employment opportunities have created serious challenges for people across Afghanistan.
