Polio-Free Afghanistan says that the polio vaccination campaign is continuing in all provinces of the country, with efforts underway to vaccinate all children under the age of five.
In a post on X on Tuesday, November 3, Polio-Free Afghanistan said that vaccinating every child under the age of five is a shared responsibility to protect them from contracting polio.
Polio-Free Afghanistan stressed that all children under the age of five must be vaccinated during the campaign, which began nationwide on Monday.
The initiative has repeatedly urged families to protect their children against the disease by having them vaccinated.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) had announced that 42 positive cases of type 1 poliovirus had been recorded in Afghanistan in 2026.
