Mikhail Galuzin, Russia’s deputy foreign minister, has accused Western countries supporting Ukraine of attempting to impose a strategic defeat on Russia.
The Russian news agency TASS reported on Wednesday, August 5, that Galuzin warned of Western efforts to force a defeat on Russia.
According to the report, the Russian official said that imposing defeat on a powerful nuclear state such as Russia is impossible.
He said: “Imposing a strategic defeat on Russia, a powerful nuclear state, is impossible. Unfortunately, the West is trying to do this through its Kyiv proxies.”
However, Russian officials have repeatedly accused the West of supplying weapons to Ukraine and attempting to weaken Russia since Moscow launched its military invasion of Ukraine.
