The Saudi-led coalition said it had intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis.

Al Jazeera reported early Wednesday, October 28, that Turki Al-Maliki, the coalition’s spokesperson, had announced the incident.

According to the report, the Saudi-led coalition’s spokesperson said the missile had been intercepted over the city of Taif.

He added that the missile had been intercepted and destroyed by Saudi Arabia’s air defence systems.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defence had warned early Wednesday of possible missile and drone attacks on the country.

However, Houthi missile and drone attacks on various parts of Saudi Arabia have intensified in recent weeks.
