The Taliban have made a new decision based on which girls cannot study in universities.
Sources at Kabul University confirmed to Hasht-e Subh that a Taliban official revealed this decision in a meeting at Kabul University last week.
Although sources in the Ministry of Higher Education have not confirmed this news, but according to independent sources, it has been said that this decision is supposed to be implemented at the end of the current academic year.
Meanwhile, another source told Hasht-e Subh that this decision was brought up in the meeting of the Taliban cabinet, but a number of Taliban ministers opposed it.
A source in the Ministry of Higher Education said that they have not yet received an official letter indicating the implementation of this decision.
However, another source in the ministry says that when girls cannot graduate from the 12th grade, the end result is to deprive them of higher education.
This decision, which is said to have been discussed in the Taliban cabinet, has not yet been officially announced.
These news are published while the Taliban have closed the doors of schools above the sixth grade to girls since taking over Afghanistan in August 2021.
