Local sources in Jaghori district of Ghazni province report that the Taliban have increased their forces in this district and have made the district’s mosque and library into a military base.
In an interview Tuesday, sources confirmed that nearly 20 Taliban fighters have been placed in the district’s mosque.
According to sources, the Taliban have also forced the local residents in the district to bring them food. The residents meanwhile said that they cannot provide food for the Taliban because of the poor economy.
Sources have stated that the public library is in Dawood area of the district which has been turned into a military base and that the Taliban do not allow anyone to enter this library.
The Taliban have already turned several schools, mosques, and other public facilities into military bases in the northern provinces of Afghanistan.
