U.S. President Donald Trump has said that the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened immediately after a deal with Iran is signed.
Al Jazeera reported on Wednesday, June 3, that Trump said he is trying to separate the reopening of the waterway from the ongoing conflict in Lebanon.
Trump added that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz would happen “quickly.”
The U.S. president also emphasized that his goal is to reach an agreement with Tehran and prevent further escalation of tensions in the region.
