The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) has announced that 100 families in Zinda Jan district of Herat province have gained access to safe drinking water.
On Monday, October 26, the programme said the families now have access to safe drinking water with support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
UN-Habitat added that drinking water has been connected directly to the families’ homes and is available around the clock.
The programme said access to safe drinking water is one of the basic needs of families to protect their health and improve their living conditions.
