In a tragic incident, two individuals were shot and killed by unidentified gunmen in Laghman Province, according to local sources.
Reports from Laghman indicate that the incident took place on Saturday night, July 8th, in the village of Lukat, Alingar district.
Sources have revealed that the unidentified gunmen entered the house of one of the victims during the night and targeted two individuals, killing them instantly. Another person was wounded in the attack.
No information has been provided regarding the identities of the victims.
Local Taliban officials in Laghman have not yet commented on the matter.
Targeted killings and criminal incidents have been on the rise in Laghman Province recently.
Just a few days ago, the brother of a former local police commander in Ali Shing district of the province was also killed by unknown individuals.
