In recent months, the rate of abduction has been decreased, and many kidnappers have been arrested in the province, Herat governor Abdul Qayyum Rohani said.

The Taliban security forces try to eradicate the abduction phenomenon in this province, the governor added.

Earlier, a group of four members of kidnappers was killed after armed conflict with the Taliban forces, and their bodies were displayed in the central areas of Herat.
