Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned against what he described as provocative actions by the U.S. military, saying Tehran is prepared to deliver a decisive response to any American aggression.
Iran’s Fars News Agency reported early Sunday, August 2, that Araghchi made the remarks during separate phone calls with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
According to the report, Araghchi discussed the risk of escalating tensions and insecurity in the region with Munir and Fidan.
The remarks come after U.S. media reported that President Donald Trump was seriously considering strikes on Iran’s energy infrastructure.
