Blast Hits a Mosque in Afghanistan’s Faryab

An explosion targeted a mosque in Faryab province, located in the northwest region of Afghanistan, according to Hasht-e Subh.

A loud explosion was heard on Wednesday afternoon in the Imam Abu Hanifa mosque in Maimana, the capital city of Fayab, according to witnesses.

The blast happened during the worshipers’ exit from the mosque, according to a source.

As of yet, no information was available about the casualty tolls and possible damages caused by this explosion. Initially, it was reported that at least five people had been injured.

No comments have been made by the Taliban so far.
