Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein held a phone conversation on regional issues and bilateral cooperation.
Tasnim News Agency reported early Monday, August 3, that the latest regional developments were among the topics discussed by the foreign ministers of the two countries.
According to the report, Araghchi and Hussein also discussed issues of mutual interest between Iran and Iraq.
The conversation comes as diplomatic efforts and consultations by Iran’s top diplomat have increased in recent days.
In recent days, Araghchi has held talks with his Saudi and Turkish counterparts, as well as with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Asim Munir.
