The EU’s foreign policy chief has called on all parties to prevent further escalation and return to negotiations following the resumption of attacks between Iran and Israel.
Al Jazeera reported on Monday, June 8, that Kaja Kallas warned about the escalation of hostilities between Iran and Israel.
These remarks come after the Israeli military announced last night that missiles had been launched from Iran toward Israel.
Fox News reported this morning that just hours after Iran’s missile strikes, the Israeli military carried out airstrikes in western and central Iran.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament and chief negotiator, had stated that the United States and Israel, through a naval blockade of Iran and violations of Lebanon-related agreements, have shown that they only understand the “language of power.”
The attacks come as Axios, citing a US official, reported that Washington currently does not expect an imminent Israeli attack on Iran.
