The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) says that following the start of US and Israeli attacks on Iran, approximately 1,700 migrants are returning to Afghanistan each day.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, March 17, the council added that many of these migrants are psychologically affected and are returning without any belongings.
According to the council, humanitarian resources in Afghanistan are extremely limited, and 22 million people require humanitarian assistance.
Previously, the United Nations had expressed concern over the situation of the people of Afghanistan migrants in Iran.
According to the United Nations, migrants in the country have limited access to support resources and do not benefit from legal protection.
The United Nations has stated that following the US and Israeli attacks on Iran, three million people have been displaced within the country.
