Sources in Badakhshan Province say construction of a secondary school in the Yawan district of the province has begun with financial contributions from residents.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Tuesday, September 15, that the cost of constructing the school has been estimated at two million Afghanis, which will be paid by residents of the district.
According to the sources, the school will have eight classrooms and administrative rooms.
The sources added that Yawan residents had previously built several primary and secondary schools with their own funds in the villages of Abzamach, Shangan, Qatarbid, and several other villages in the district.
