According to reliable local sources in Bamiyan province, an intra-group clash in the Panjab district resulted in the death of one Taliban fighter and injuries to two others.
The clash occurred on Wednesday, May 10, in the center of the district, between fighters of the Taliban.
Mullah Abdullah Sarhadi, the Taliban governor in Bamiyan, went to the area to control the situation after the incident, according to one of the sources.
The reason for the clash has not yet been determined, and local Taliban officials have not commented on the incident.
Intra-group clashes among the Taliban are not uncommon, and the group has suffered casualties in similar events in several provinces, including Bamiyan, in the past.
Since the Taliban took control of the country, at least eight Taliban fighters have been killed in intra-group clashes in Bamiyan province alone, according to the findings of Hasht-e Subh reporter.
