UN Reaffirms Support for Returning Citizens of Afghanistan

Barham Salih, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, met with representatives of the media, diplomatic missions, and non-governmental organizations during his visit to Kabul to discuss the situation of returning citizens of Afghanistan.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said on its X page on Wednesday, July 8, that the meetings were held to strengthen cooperation in support of returning citizens of Afghanistan.

The agency added that the purpose of this cooperation is to address the needs of returning citizens of Afghanistan.

UNHCR expressed appreciation for the cooperation of its national and international partners in the process of supporting returning citizens of Afghanistan.

The UN agency also emphasized the continuation of joint cooperation to assist these families.
