Two tribal elders were shot dead by Taliban forces in Khost district, Baghlan province.
Local sources in Baghlan accounted that the Taliban raided the houses of two tribal elders named Pahlwan Yasin and Farid on Wednesday night, January 11, in Khost district, arresting both of them on suspicion of collaborating with the National Resistance Front (NRF).
Taliban members interrogated them in the district building before mercilessly shooting them dead following their detention, sources detailed.
In addition, Taliban forces took two civilians from their village with them and severely tortured them during the interrogation, sources said.
