Taliban members in Ghor province have ordered the families in need to return the cash assistance distributed by aid groups.
Sources confirmed to Hasht-e Subh on Sunday (December 4th) that Taliban members ordered the people to return the aid distributed by aid agencies, especially cash, to the Taliban.
An institution called Ansari in Ghor has distributed $275 in cash to each family in the Pasaband district.
Local Taliban officials in the Pasaband district of Ghor Province have asked the people to give the Ansari Group’s assistance to the Taliban, sources indicated.
Since the US withdrawal and the Taliban takeover in August 2021, Afghanistan has been suffering from a worsening humanitarian crisis. The aid being distributed by aid groups is the only resource that people have eyes on in the coming winter.
Taliban authorities in Ghor have not specified the reason for this move as of yet.
