
Earthquake Destroys One Hundred Seventy Homes in Parwan
According to local sources in Parwan, at least 170 residential homes have been destroyed in various parts of the province due to a recent earthquake in Afghanistan.
Sources on Saturday reported, citing officials from the Office of State Minister for Natural Disasters Management, that this earthquake has mostly affected residents of central Parwan and the districts of Sayedkhel, Shinwari, and Siyahgard.
Among these, 100 residential homes in the Sayedkhel district have been destroyed, sources said.
Due to the earthquake, at least 15 people have also been injured in various parts of Parwan.
It should be noted that on Wednesday night, a 6.5-magnitude earthquake shook parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India.
The epicenter of the earthquake was reported to be the Jerm district of Badakhshan province, with a depth of 187 kilometers.
The Taliban’s Office of State Minister for Natural Disasters Management has also announced that more than 800 homes have been partially or completely destroyed across Afghanistan due to the earthquake.
